This sustainable swap helps you replace steel plastic pot scrubbers you use in the kitchen or for general household cleaning. Stiff but malleable bristles were specifically designed to handle heavy duty cleaning; ideal for scrubbing out stains and food, removing labels from jars, cleaning tub and shower build-up.

Features a wooden handle with stiff plant fiber bristles - mixture of palm and sisal (agave plant). Comes with a twine loop for hanging. 100% biodegradable!
Versatile use
This brush works great on a variety of surfaces, especially cast iron! Suitable for ceramic and non-stick pans, too - just use it with care! Can be used for 6 - 12 months.
Care instructions
Hang to dry in between uses or on a dry towel to allow bristles to drain. Never leave submerged in water as it will wear on the wood causing it to crack or may cause the natural bristles to fall out. Wood is naturally antimicrobial, but if you need to clean your brush, clean bristles with vinegar to kill bacteria.The brush can be demoted to household cleaning then home composted.
About Me.Mother Earth
We are a husband and wife team local to Las Vegas, Alberto is originally from Rio, Brazil and myself, Amanda grew up in Washington state. We started this company with a collapsible straw kit, as big travelers ourselves, we wanted to create something that was convenient enough to bring everywhere and begin to eliminate single-use plastic in our daily lives. For a lot of people, it starts with a straw (our kit also includes a spork!) and we LOVE working craft fairs, markets and events to get the opportunity to talk face to face with people about the importance of making simple swaps everyday and reduce our impact on the environment. It affects all of us. We have expanded to include a large array of products (and we are growing!!) that simplify our lives and reduce plastic waste— especially with products we use everyday. We are not experts at plastic-free & sustainable living and face the same challenges that everyone else does, but we are SO incredibly passionate about our Mother Earth, learning more, and educating those around us. We live the lifestyle as best we can and we are learning everyday. We donate to ocean conservation and other environmental organizations too- Let's make some real change together!   • I bought these as I'm switching away from non-biodegradable products and plastic. They work well and feel high quality. One brush is a softer option. The stiff brushes worked great on my ceramic Staub cookware. Really appreciate the plastic-free packaging too.

  • Brushes are holding up well. Handle is wood, so it’s starting to crack a bit. This was expected and does not affect the performance of the brush at all.

  • These are awesome!! They scrub so well! I was so pleasantly surprised. I will use one for veggies and the others for chores around the house and kitchen. Well made, fit well into your hand, bristles are stiff but flexible. I loved the little box it came in tied with the string. I highly recommend these little gems. You won't be disappointed.

  • Based on the presentation alone 10/10 they feel sturdy and have a good weight to them. Not to mention they are aesthetically pleasing. They work great! The bristles are strong enough to get pans clean but not enough to scratch them, Thank you!

  • This is not only an attractive set but it works! I wanted to replace my plastic scrubbers, especially for cast iron. These scrubbers work well for pots and pans and the lighter coloured one scrubs vegetables really well.

  • These wood brushes are very well made; they are sturdy, easy to handle and look cute. The bristles are fitted, meaning they are enough for the job. We use the soft bristles to wash vegetables and fruit and the hard ones to do dishes. Great product. Thanks for a good job

  • I hate touching sponges or rags - basically anything that gets the gross dishwater smell. These are fantastic, great for scrubbing, and pretty sturdy. Some of the bristles have fallen out so I know it won't last as long as the plastic ones, but that's a small price to pay for it being biodegradable.

  • I’ve been using for quite some time now and it’s holding up pretty well! Quality is good. Its a hard transition from a regular sponge to these, but it’s worth investing for the sake of zero waste!
